Reviews
We were looking for a coffee machine for a few weeks in different places, but this was the perfect spot to buy it. First of all the place is awesome and creates an amazing atmosphere, they have a bar we here you can taste the products you are interested in, then the attention was amazingly kind and nice, the girl, unfortunately I didn’t ask her name, solved all our questions and made terrific recommendations, she did an incredible job. Finally, the sale process was fast, despite all our questions, she help us to set our account and even gave us a present for being patient. Undoubtedly we will come back for more products.
I received a Nespresso as a gift over the weekend and instantly fell in love with it. I knew I was going to need more pods than what came with the machine, so I excitedly went to the Nespresso store to learn more about the varieties of pods offered and to stock up. I did some research and understood the concept of the store and how you wait to be served at a table by an associate, kind of like an apple store.
When I arrived, there were a few people ahead of me, so I waited behind them as the male employee with tattoos ushered them along to associates. When it came to my turn, he just stared at me and then started greeting the people behind me? I am not confrontational, so I just waited a bit longer and was taking a peek (from afar) at some of the seasonal flavors displayed at the tables. Finally after standing there awkwardly for about ten minutes, the host employee looks at me and very rudely asks if I was waiting for something. I said yes I would like to buy coffee… He had already directed about 4 – 5 people who came in after me to tables, and then I guess for good measure he took one more person who just wandered in (behind me) to a table and told me “I would be next”. Finally once I got to an associate, she basically threw a menu at me and just stared at me. No conversation at all. The only words spoken to me was the total of what I purchased.
It is really unfortunate because I was excited to visit this store and learn about the different coffees, and I am willing to spend a lot of money on these pods – I LOVE coffee! I ended up spending about half of what I had expected to, simply because she associate did not engage or educate me whatsoever. I left the store and ordered more online. Sadly I will only be returning to this store to recycle my empties, and will continue to order online. I have worked in customer service for many years and I think the staff I encountered could really use some training on effective communication. It is really unfortunate that they created such an unwelcoming environment, and by the looks of these reviews I am not the only one who felt this.
This is a really great looking store, with all the copies imaginable for the Nespresso system. The only thing I don't like and the reason for the four out of five stars, is the fact that you have to wait in line to purchase your pods.. what a "click" system. The staff member I dealt with was very educated in their coffee selections, and able to explain each.
Nice coffee, but the store is laid out very poorly. There is no clear area to line up, there are no prices posted anywhere for coffee pods…. Unless you are already an expert or go when it’s very quiet, it’s not a positive shopping experience. There seem to be many comments to that effect and no changes have been made, so this doesn’t seem like a company that actually cares about the customer experience.
I am so sorry. Nespresso is the kind of coffee I adore, a large selection, quick preparation and beautiful, well-designed machines. Unfortunately, there is always something that makes every beautiful thing unacceptable. We are talking about the store, the only one in Edmonton, the one in Southga. Always queues and waiting, unfriendly and unprofessional staff, and a manager without feelings for customers and without the necessary knowledge, and above all without responsibility. Very often they pack the wrong goods for me, so I have to come back again. They never apologized to me or by any chance gave me the packaging as a gift. The other day she charged me incorrectly and when I said so, and unfortunately I had already paid with a credit card, she told me without apology how she would refund the money to my card. That's what she did, but apparently somehow wrong, because after a few days I still haven't received a refund. I went to the store to sort it out, but the manager unapologetically told me that she couldn't do anything about it. So, they took money from me that doesn't belong to them, but they are unable to properly return the funds or apologize. Unfortunately, since there is no other branch in Edmonton, I am thinking of stopping using Nespresso and buying a classic espresso machine.
Still nothing from getting my money back. I was at the bank and there they said that they had nothing to do with it and that obviously the refund was not processed properly. The arrogant manager from this store says it's up to the bank. …
My wife and I live on the east coast and knew we were going to be in Edmonton so we thought we would go into the Nespresso store to pick up some coffee and not on line ( our usual option as we do not have a local store) what a mistake! As …
This store is so pretentious. Nespresso has a captive audience with a single store in Edmonton, but not because of the enjoyable experience at the Boutique. There is almost always a line full of impatient customers outside the store waiting …
